Director Shabnam Mahabat had the priviledge of attending a smoking ceremony at CWHC - Cumberland Women's Health Centre - a non-profit community based organisation providing women’s health services and domestic violence specialist response services to women.

A smoking ceremony is an ancient custom among Aboriginal Australians that involves smouldering various native plants to produce smoke. This herbal smoke is believed to have cleansing properties and the ability to ward off bad spirits.
